Silke Birgitta Gahleitner studied Social Work, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and qualified as a professor of Social Education with a focus on 'Psychosocial Work'. She worked for many years as a psychotherapist (A) in private practice as well as in the 'Myrrha', socio-therapeutic institution for traumatized girls. Since 2006, she has been working as a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Social Work with a focus on 'Psychosocial Assessment and Intervention' at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin. Teaching and research areas include: psychosocial diagnostics and intervention, professional relationship management, psychosocial traumatology, and qualitative research methods.
